Race on for RICS award

The search for the region’s most noteworthy property developments is on, as the annual North-East Renaissance Awards is launched once again.

Organised by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the awards recognise the successes of buildings in eight different categories, and are open to schemes of all shapes, sizes and uses.

The categories include: commercial; design and innovation; residential; tourism and leisure; building conservation; community benefit; regeneration, and sustainability, as well as the coveted ‘Project of the Year’ award, which last year went to Newcastle's Tyneside Cinema.

The deadline for entries is 22 January 2010, and a pdf containing further information and the entry form can be obtained by clicking here
