New Economic Masterplan...

A new economic and spatial strategy for Newcastle and Gateshead is soon to be officially endorsed by Newcastle City Council, Gateshead Council and One North East, according to the business briefing email service from Newcastle City Council.
The 1PLAN deals with securing higher economic growth, improving employment and revitalising the urban core of Newcastle and Gateshead.
Included in the plan are a number of priorities for the next three to five years, all of which aim to build on key principles: the need to grow the knowledge economy; the importance of developing skills and attracting talent; to focus activities on the urban core; and achieving environmentally sustainable growth.
