North East councils get £8 million housing boost

The region has been given an £8 million housing boost, with councils across the North East set to receive a share of the cash, announced by housing minister John Healey. (Sourced from the Chronicle.)

Ouseburn Explorer initiative award nomination

Newcastle's Ouseburn Explorer initiative has been nominated in the education and learning category at the 2010 Waterways Renaissance Awards.
Taking place in Salford on 17 March, the awards are designed to celebrate best practice in sustainable waterway regeneration throughout the UK.

New office space shows confidence in region

Work is now under way on the latest addition to the Quorum Business Park in Newcastle.
Q12 represents an additional 90,000sq ft of speculative space, and adds to the 120,000sq ft created last year, emphasising confidence in the region’s business credentials.
