Newcastle City Council's business briefing email service has revealed that East Pilgrim Street is to benefit from a series of short to medium term improvements, undertaken by the council with partners 1NG and NE1.

The agencies will work closely with landowners and other key stakeholders on the refurbishment and re-use of buildings, some demolition and an interim strategy for re-use of cleared sites. read more

A new economic and spatial strategy for Newcastle and Gateshead is soon to be officially endorsed by Newcastle City Council, Gateshead Council and One North East, according to the business briefing email service from Newcastle City Council.

The 1PLAN deals with securing higher economic growth, improving employment and revitalising the urban core of Newcastle and Gateshead. read more

A recent study recommended a radical re-think on how regeneration projects are delivered in northern England.
